Mosaic 2.0 is non-profit, a volunteer project produced by the Writing Mentors of the Advanced Writing Centre (AWC), College of the North Atlantic - Qatar. We promote English writing undertaken by native and non-native English writers. All writers are invited to submit to Mosaic 2.0. Our contributors are include previously published writers (print and online) and others who publish their work for the first time. We reserve the right to publish or not publish submissions and the privilege to exercise editorial decisions on those that we choose to publish. However we strive diligently to preserve the author's voice or sensibility in each piece--the success or failure of Mosaic 2.0 rests on this editorial principle.
Submission Guidelines
Submissions of the following types are considered:
- Academic articles
- Interviews
- Book reviews
- Reflective essays
- Travel writing
- Short stories
- Poetry
- Works should not exceed 3000 words.
- All submissions must be written in English and formatted using MS Word.
- Academic work should be formatted according to APA guidelines.
- All works appearing in Mosaic 2.0 must be original, and not have appeared elsewhere online or in print in any format.
- By submitting your work to Mosaic 2.0 you are acknowledging the work submitted is your own, and has not been plagiarized.
- Authors retain all rights to their work.
- We do not pay for use of submitted materials.
- Please note: we only accept work through our online submission system. Submissions sent by email will, regretfully, be deleted unread.
- Please do not send first drafts. Your work should be closely proof-read and edited before being sent.
- Response time should be approximately 2-4 weeks, but is determined by demands of AWC student priorities.
- Be sure to include a brief biographical description of yourself with your submission(s).
